Police Renew Appeal For Missing Martin Sales, Following New Sighting, Liversedge

Police have issued a new CCTV image of missing Martin Sales following a new sighting of him at the weekend.

Kirklees CID has again appealed for Martin (40) to get in touch, or for anyone who can help them find him to make contact, following a positive sighting of him in Clifton on Sunday.

Officers spoke with two persons who saw Martin near the Armytage Arms pub in Clifton at about 1pm, and believe he may have been camping on land nearby.

The missing 40-year-old, who is a keen walker, is believed to have been using the name 'Gavin' locally if persons have spoken with him.

Martin was reported missing shortly before 11pm on Wednesday, 2 August, but is believed to have been in his Liversedge home at around 9.30am that day.

The 40-year-old is known to enjoy walking and likes to go to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Hadrian's Wall.

He is described as being of slim build and six foot tall. He may also be carrying a rucksack.
Officers do not believe Martin has access to a vehicle.
DS Leo Pearson of Kirklees CID, said: "We are continuing our enquiries to find Martin and are focusing search activity in the Clifton area.
"We do believe Martin may be wild camping on land there and would appeal to anyone who may have seen him to contact us.
"He is believed to be carrying a large rucksack and has been telling people he has spoken with that his name is Gavin.
"I'd also directly appeal to Martin to get in touch with us. Martin, your family is really concerned for you as we are, and everyone just wants to make sure you are OK.

Police are renewing an appeal to help find a missing Liversedge man as concern for him grows.

Kirklees CID continue to appeal for anyone who has seen or has any information about missing Martin Sales to contact them.

Martin Sales (40) was reported missing shortly before 11pm on Wednesday, 2 August, but is believed to have been in his Liversedge home at around 9.30am that day.

The 40-year-old is known to enjoy walking and likes to go to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Hadrian's Wall.

He is described as being of slim build and six foot tall. He may also be carrying a rucksack.

Officers do not believe Martin has access to a vehicle.

Detective Inspector James Bellhouse of Kirklees CID, said: "Martin has been missing for over a week now and as time goes by, our concerns and those of his family can only grow.
"We continue to conduct a number of enquiries to locate Martin and would ask anyone who has any information which can help us find him to contact police via 101 or use the Live Chat facility at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contactus quoting log 1808 of 2 August. "

Police investigating the disappearance of a Liversedge man have issued some new images of him.

Martin Sales, 40, was reported missing shortly before 11pm on Wednesday, 2 August and was last seen in the Liversedge area.

The new images are more recent and show Martin with a different hairstyle to what was seen on our previous appeal.

Martin is described as being of slim build and six foot tall. He may also be carrying a rucksack.

His family and police are very concerned for his welfare.
