'Ranger for a Day - Hókahé!' is back this summer at Pipestone National Monument! Kids 7-12 years old are invited to come spend a day with park rangers, learn what 'Hókahé' means, discover the park's wildlife and learn how to protect it, learn about Indigenous languages and cultures, and more! From culture and history to science and geology, your kids will gain a wealth of knowledge while having fun.

There are three separate one-day camps available this summer (10 kids per camp, please only register your child for one). Kids should bring a sack lunch, sturdy shoes, a cloth face mask, and clothes they don't mind getting dirty. This program is free and open to the public. Participants will be required to follow CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The camps this summer are:

  • June 12th 10 am - 3 pm
  • June 26th 10 am - 3 pm
  • July 17th 10 am - 3 pm
Call to RSVP @ (507) 825-5464 ext. 214
