The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague (FEL CTU) will present itself online to anyone interested in studying electrical engineering[...]

FEL CTU will present itself in a live transmission. "For half an hour, we will provide an overview for secondary-school students showing what the studies at our faculty are like, and how they can become students of the faculty. From 5.30 p.m. onwards, we will invite potential applicants to a presentation of our bachelor study programmes. Our teaching staff and students will be ready in chat rooms to give answers on anything connected with each of the programmes, how the studies can be applied, and also questions about student life," says Prof. Petr Páta, dean of FEL CTU.

Students of FEL CTU have an opportunity not only to study the technologies of the future. They can also very soon join in developing these technologies.

From autonomously-controlled racing cars, robots and drones, via cyber security, the development of applications for virtual reality and biomedicine, to telecommunication networks, alternative energy sources and equipment for the space programme. Students at FEL are able not only to study these technological trends - they can also get involved in developing them. This happens remarkably quickly, thanks to the favourable ratio of eight students to one member of staff. The staff therefore have enough time and space to dedicate themselves to their students and to develop their knowledge and skills.

FEL prepares courses aimed, for example, at teaching students already accepted for a study programme the basics of programming and electronics. In this way, FEL attempts to minimize the differences between graduates of various types of secondary schools, electrical engineering secondary schools and vocational schools. There are also some study circles organised by FEL students who attempt to prepare newly-accepted students as well as possible for their university studies of informatics and electrical engineering.
