Rep. Zeldin Joins Tunnel to Towers and Gold Star Spouses to Honor America’s Fallen Heroes from the War on Terror

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1), an Army veteran who continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve, participated in a press conference with Tunnel to Towers and Gold Star spouses to announce that the names of all 7,059 heroes who lost their lives in the War on Terror will be read aloud at the Lincoln Memorial on Veterans Day.

'With this bold, courageous, important move, the over 7,000 who have fallen overseas - like the Raguso family, like the Briggs family and so many others - their loved one will never be forgotten. They will be forever appreciated. And any generation that follows our nation's history here on this memorial, where we stand today, will always remember, honor and pay tribute to these great men and women, who loved our flag, our freedom and our liberty,' said Congressman Zeldin.
