NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
LAS 34928
ALASKA ENERGY METALS DEVELOPMENT CORP.

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Alaska Energy Metals Development Corp.

PROJECT NAME: LAS 34928

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located near the West Fork Maclaren River along the Maclaren River Trail on the north side of the Denali Highway at milepost 43.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SW1/4NW1/4 Section 22, Township 20 South, Range 6 East, Fairbanks Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Alaska Energy Metals Development Corp. is requesting a land use permit to establish a seasonal camp on state lands from May through October to accommodate personnel in support of the nearby "Eureka Creek" mineral exploration project. The camp would consist of (12) wall-tent structures on platforms including (8) 12'x20' sleeper tents, (1) 16'x32' kitchen/dining tent, (1) 12'x20' drying tent, (1) 12'x20' office tent, (1) 12'x40' washeteria, along with (3) 8'x40' conex containers for off-season storage. Vehicles and equipment to be used include (10) personal vehicles, (1) telescopic forklift, (1) skid steer, and (1) A-Star helicopter for personnel transport. On-site fuel use and storage includes jet fuel (300 gallons), ultra-low sulfur diesel (200 gallons), and gasoline (100 gallons). Any associated mining activities would be separately authorized through the Division's Mining Section.

Start: May 1, 2024
End: April 30, 2029

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
