Anti-aircraft gunners of the SMD launched combat missiles from the Tor-M2 air defence system in the Astrakhan region

Crews of anti-aircraft missile systems Tor-M2 of the 58th combined arms army of the Southern Military District (SMD), stationed in North Ossetia, performed about 10 launches of combat missiles in the Astrakhan region.

The anti-aircraft missile systems destroyed high-speed maneuvering targets of the Saman type, which were launched from different directions at minimum and maximum altitudes at the Kapustin Yar test site.

During the field exit, the personnel of the Tor-M2 air defence system crews mastered the loading of launchers, search, detection, tracking and destruction of air targets.

After practical launches, the anti-aircraft gunners began to march to the point of permanent deployment in North Ossetia. The shooting was the final stage of the field exit of anti-aircraft gunners in the Astrakhan region.

About 300 military personnel of SMD took part in the field exercises, about 50 units of weapons and military equipment were involved.
