In Memoriam: Randy K. Bempong

Randy K. Bempong, a cook and utility worker at Whitney Kitchen for Dining Services at the University of Delaware, passed away on Thursday, April 11. He was 32.

Campus colleagues reflected and shared the impact Mr. Bempong had on them:

Brian Schea, director of operations: "Randy was a very kind and genuine person. He was friendly with everyone he met and always strove to do his best in all he did."

Elias Rivera, supervisor at Whitney Kitchen: "Sincere, kind and thoughtful are the three words that come to mind when I think of Randy. He was a pleasure to work with and get to know in the short time he was here in our Whitney family. His positive attitude and welcoming demeanor will be greatly missed."
