Silent Night: Waste Water Treatment Plant getting quieter

The Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility won't be unplugged any time soon, but it will go acoustic.

Updates to the blower intakes at the facility on Powell Road near the Pennsylvania Turnpike will include acoustic air inlet silencers. The devices aim to further quiet the hum of the equipment during operations.

The Board of Supervisors on January 27 approved a contract with JP Environmental LLC to perform the work, which is expected to be completed in the coming months.
