Steel Blooms Traded on IME

On Monday, April 29, 2024, the IME witnessed trade of 118,050 tonnes of steel blooms on its metals and minerals trading floor.

According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, there were 15,561 tonnes of HRC, 15,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 8,100 tonnes of CRC, 6,500 tonnes of tinplate sheets, 3,200 tonnes of galvanized steel sheets and 50 tonnes of aluminum hydroxide traded on the same floor.

There were also 23,000 tonnes of steel slabs and 506 tonnes of PVC sold on its open auction trading floor.

IME's oil and petrochemical trading floor was the next which saw trade of 25,144 tonnes of polymeric products, 3,012 tonnes of base oil and 250 tonnes of granular sulfur.

It's worth noting as well that the IME's export ring saw trade of 26,390 tonnes of bitumen.

Moreover, the IME sold 204,838 tonnes of cement on its cement trading floor.

Last was the IME's side market which saw trade of 1,700 tonnes of steel blooms.
