To highlight the importance of music and its ability to alter our mood, and even perception, Bang & Olufsen has collaborated with Danish composer Kasper Bjørke to create four Nordic soundscapes inspired by Scandinavian nature to show how different atmospheres can change the perception of space. Upon entering Fritz Hansen's Pavilion, visitors will be immersed in nature's elements and enter a meditative state that transcends both space and time.

"At Bang & Olufsen, we work to elevate routines to rituals. To create moments of connection, creativity, and appreciation. Largely using sound. The design team is very curious of different states of consciousness and creation of space within space using only sound. Kasper's mesmerizing and immersive music played through our sophisticated technology is a great example of this and we are excited for you to experience it", says Miklu Silvanto, Chief Design

Officer at Bang & Olufsen.

At the three-day design festival, Bang & Olufsen will showcase Beosound Level, Beosound Balance, Beolab 28 and Beolab 50 alongside Beovision Contour and the Beovision Harmony TV. The products in natural finishes work in perfect harmony with the interiors of Fritz Hansen's Pavilion to celebrate their 150-year anniversary, designed by renowned architects Henning Larsen. Set in Designmuseum Denmark's beautiful garden, Grønnegården, the pavilion is designed with a Nordic approach centered around daylight and honest materials built in solid wood with fluid transitions between inside and out. A specially created Nordic Soundscape (Part I-IV) composed and produced by Kasper Bjørke in collaboration with Bang & Olufsen will be playing in the space.

"I have composed a soundscape in four parts, each with individual atmospheric and organic textures that are meant to take the visitors on a sonic journey as they walk around the pavilion.

While creating this piece of music, I was deeply inspired by sounds in Nordic nature, such as a gentle breeze moving through trees and also natural materials such as wood, stone and wicker accompanied with wooden instruments such as piano, flute and cello to create a calm yet

atmospheric environment", says Danish composer Kasper Bjørke.

Sustainability was a key component of Fritz Hansen's Pavilion. Born in line with the principles of circular design thinking, the installation is essentially designed to be disassembled and re-used. This circular design approach is a core principle shared by Bang & Olufsen and designing products for longevity has always been a focus at the company for nearly a century.

Mads Kogsgaard Hansen, Senior Global Product Manager for Recreated Classics & Product Circularity at Bang & Olufsen comments; "We are pleased that Beosound Level will feature in the Pavilion as its design is in keeping with Fritz Hansen's Nordic approach to creating furniture where simplicity, natural elements, and high-quality materials are of utmost importance." Kogsgaard Hansen continues, "Beosound Level also reflects the sustainable ethos of the Pavilion due to its circular design principles, and was recently the first ever Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze speaker in the consumer electronics industry. The science-based certification demonstrates our commitment to designing for increasing product life-cycle duration and reducing the environmental impact of our product systems by designing them for circularity with the ambition to create positive change to the industry we are operating in."

Mads Kogsgaard Hansen will join Eva Ravnborg from Henning Larsen and Christian Andresen from Fritz Hansen to discuss a holistic approach to sustainability on Wednesday 15th June, from 4.30-5PM at the Designmuseum Danmark, Fritz Hansen Pavilion in the garden. The talk is free to attend.
