Clifford Chance expands energy transactional offering with hire of counsel Joclynn Marsh in Houston

Global law firm Clifford Chance has hired Joclynn Marsh as counsel in its energy and oil and gas related infrastructure practice. Marsh, who will be based in Houston, further strengthens the firm's energy transactional offering.

Marsh brings deep experience advising on transactions across the oil and gas industry, covering all major aspects of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures in the United States and abroad. She joins a US M&A team of more than 70 lawyers, who form part of a 900-strong global practice.

David Sweeney, co-head of the firm's global Energy & Resources Group and head of the global Oil and Gas practice, said, "We are very excited to welcome Joclynn. She brings a wealth of experience in energy transactions, augmenting our capabilities to help US and international clients navigate rapidly changing market dynamics."

Marsh said, "I am thrilled to be part of the Clifford Chance team. It's a great group of lawyers working collaboratively across markets, and I look forward to helping clients on their strategic domestic and international energy transactions."

The arrival of Marsh continues the rapid growth of the firm's global Energy & Infrastructure practice in the US since the launch of its Houston office in June 2023, and follows the February hire of partners Ty'Meka M. Reeves-Sobers in Houston and Marcia Hook in Washington, DC and the January addition of counsel Joshua Bernard to its LatAm team in Houston. There are now 13 partners and three counsel based in Houston.
