Timo Piispa appointed Head of Circular Solutions Business Unit

Timo has been with Fortum since 2000 and joins from Fortum Heating and Cooling, where he was Vice President of the Finnish operations. In this role, Timo was responsible for the Espoo Clean Heat programme that aims to decarbonise the district heating production in the Espoo, Kirkkonummi and Kauniainen regions. During his leadership, Heating and Cooling signed excess heat capture agreements with several partners, including Microsoft and Equinix, and introduced new electricity-based heating innovations. Timo will continue in his previous position until his successor has been appointed.

The position of SVP, Circular Solutions is not part of Fortum's management team, however Timo reports directly to Fortum CEO Markus Rauramo.
