"Danielle is a student success champion, always focused on supporting students to graduation," said Dilip Das, vice president of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. "She is an adept, proactive administrator who excels in effective and empathetic communication. I am thrilled about the future of the Eberly Center under Danielle's leadership and her joining the leadership team at the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion."

A two-time graduate of The University of Toledo, Lutman received her bachelor's degrees in women's and gender studies and sociology in 2015 and her master's in social work in 2017. She is pursuing her doctor of education degree in leadership studies from Bowling Green State University.

In May 2017, Lutman was hired as program coordinator for the Office of Multicultural Student Success, where she coordinated M.O.R.E., an early-arrival program for incoming underrepresented first-year students, and developed and launched the first LGBTQ mentorship program for students as well as the Big Gay Welcome event each fall semester.

In 2018, she joined the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women, which promotes the advancement of women at UToledo and in the community by creating an environment that supports learning, discovery and engagement that helps them achieve their highest potential.

Among Lutman's awards, she received the LGBT Leadership Award from the Ohio Diversity Council in 2019, the Edward H. Schmidt Outstanding Young Alum in 2022 and the Alice H. Skeens Outstanding Woman Award earlier this year.

"Gender Equity touches all parts of our lives and our campus," Lutman said. "I am excited to continue working towards promoting and advancing gender equity here at UToledo.

"I'm grateful for the campus support and partnerships that allow me to do work that positively impacts our students. I'm so excited to continue growing myself and the Eberly Center this academic year."
