Arrests Made After Suspects Crash Stolen Vehicle - Stolen Firearms Recovered

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The quick response and cooperative efforts between 3rd precinct officers, K9 officers and investigators led to the arrest of 4 people, after they crashed a stolen vehicle into a gas pump. The investigation led to the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles and firearms.

On November 27, 2021 at 10:41 a.m., Virginia Beach Emergency Communications (VBECCS) received reports that 4 people had attempted to steal a vehicle from the Wawa parking lot located at 5701 Northampton Blvd. The owner of the vehicle confronted the suspects, who then entered another vehicle, crashing it into a gasoline pump as they attempted to flee. The 4 suspects then fled the scene on foot. Responding officers quickly began gathering suspect descriptions and direction of travel, which led to all 4 suspects being detained. The investigation was immediately launched, and it was determined that the vehicle which crashed into the gas pump had also been reported stolen a few days prior. Further evidence recovered during the initial investigation included 5 firearms, of which two had been reported stolen, and the recovery of two additional stolen vehicles, which were located nearby.

The following individuals were arrested and have been charged with crimes related to this incident. 19-year-old Tyeontae Domonique Baxter, of Norfolk has been charged with grand larceny and 2 counts of carrying a concealed weapon. 18-year-old Nasim Rakin Greene, of Norfolk, was charged with receipt of a stolen firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. 21-year-old Douglas Lamont Moore Jr. of Norfolk was charged with petit larceny and 2 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 18-year-old Camren Davon Jones of Norfolk was charged with 2 counts of credit card theft.

This investigation is being led by members of the 3rd Precincts Crime Suppression Squad.
