MWSU Welcomes NCAA Vice President of Enforcement Jon Duncan

April 19, 2024-Missouri Western State University's Craig School of Business will host the top enforcement officer of the NCAA. Jon Duncan, NCAA vice president of enforcement, will deliver a guest lecture and participate in a panel discussion at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 in the Kemper Recital Hall, Spratt Hall room 101.

Duncan will present a guest lecture to Business Law and Legal Studies students, address current NCAA issues in rules enforcement as well as name, image and likeness (NIL) issues, and will reserve time to respond to questions from students and others.

At 2 p.m., Duncan and Craig School of Business Professor Linda Salfrank will join a panel of attorneys, paralegals, marketing specialists and media specialists to answer questions.

Duncan became the vice president of enforcement for the NCAA in March 2014 after serving in an interim role since March 2013. Before joining the NCAA, he served as a lawyer where education and sports were the core of his work, representing the NCAA in litigation since 1998.

Since then, Duncan has served as a legal advisor for the NCAA and offered legal counsel to its committees, working groups and task forces. Duncan attended William Jewell and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1995, where he was a published member of the Kansas Law Review.

Duncan's guest lecture and the panel discussion are open to the public and free to attend.
