April 4, 2024

Washington D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) met with the REACHH-Family Resource Center in Hinton, West Virginia to highlight the $650,000 she secured through community project funding and how it will be used for upcoming projects. Congresswoman Miller also met with hospital executives at Montgomery General Hospital to discuss the ongoing challenges facing the rural hospital.

Congresswoman Miller visited REACHH-Family Resource Center to discuss how the Community Project Funding she secured for the organization will be used towards renovating the organization's food pantry, Child Advocacy Center, and the main office.

"I was thrilled to meet with the REACHH-Family Resource Center to discuss how the $650,000 I secured in funding will help continue to support families in need. These centers are vital in our communities and provide safety and stability to many children in throughout the state.I'm happy to support this organization and provide them with the resources to grow their reach here in West Virginia," said Congresswoman Miller.

Congresswoman Miller later met with department heads at Montgomery General Hospital in Montgomery, West Virginia to discuss rural health issues that are currently affecting the hospital and how to best address these issues.

"I am grateful for the lifesaving care that Montgomery General Hospital is providing to thousands of patients and the significance they hold to Montgomery's community. Hearing about the patient transportation and infrastructure upgrades necessary for the hospital's success was in line with what I hear from a lot of my rural hospitals - and something I am committed to helping improve through my work in Congress. I will continue to work through my post on the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee to make sure that rural hospitals have the resources they need to provide quality care to our most vulnerable patients," said Congresswoman Miller.
