OPEN NOW: Southbound Interstate 35 in Clinton County

Clinton County Route H bridge replacement project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The southbound lanes of Interstate 35 in Clinton County are now open. Contractors from Phillips Hardy, Inc. working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed the interstate, in both directions, at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19 to remove the bridge deck as a part of the Route H bridge replacement project.

The northbound lanes will remain closed and northbound traffic will continue to be detoured onto Routes 116 and U.S. Route 69 while crews clear the remaining debris from the construction site. The interstate is scheduled to fully reopen by 7:15 p.m. this evening, though crews are currently working ahead of schedule. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place.
