City of Troy Partners with Rensselaer County for Paint Recycling Event

Troy, NY (April 2) - The City of Troy is excited to be partnering with Rensselaer County to help residents recycle unused paint materials.

"This is an opportunity for Troy and Rensselaer County residents to get a head start on spring cleaning," said Mayor Carmella Mantello. "Our Quality of Life Action Task Force hit the ground running in January cleaning our streets and now we want to help you safely clean your homes."

"We are working to make important and needed services like this available to the people we serve. This event is a great example of the county and city working together to help residents and benefit the environment," said Chairwoman of the Legislature Kelly Hoffman.

"This event will be a convenient and efficient way for residents to safely dispose of unwanted paint. We encourage county residents to participate in this event and do some needed spring cleaning," said Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin.

In an effort to assist with spring cleaning, the city is partnering with Rensselaer County to provide residents with a safe place to dispose of unused and unwanted paint materials. The paint recycling event will take place on Saturday, April 6 at Hudson Valley Community College from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interested individuals must register prior to the event, which they can do here.
