Two men arrested for firearm offences and possession of stolen property

A 24-year-old man and a 35-year-old man have been arrested following the seizure of firearms and stolen property in Little Ridge, N.B.

On July 27, 2023, at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the St. Stephen and St. George RCMP detachments received a report of two men holding loaded firearms at the door of a residence on Route 725 in Little Ridge, N.B. Officers responded quickly and were able to arrest the two individuals without incident.

As a result of the arrest, police seized two-loaded firearms and a stolen vehicle which contained several stolen items.

On July 28, Ty Richard Phillips appeared in Saint John Provincial Court and was charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Possession of a firearm in a vehicle
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to order
  • Failure to comply with probation order.

He was remanded into custody until his next court appearance on July 31.

The 35-year-old man was released and will be appear in court at a later date.
