(BROWNWOOD, Texas) - A maintenance training workshop will be held Monday, Oct. 21, through Friday, Oct. 25 at Texas State Technical College's Brownwood campus.
Cindy Brunett, TSTC's executive director of Workforce Training and Continuing Education, said the 40-hour hands-on workshop is open to anyone working in an industry or anyone who wants to enter into the industrial systems industry.
"This comprehensive workshop is designed to upskill employees and will cover essential topics such as electrical systems, motor control systems, programmable logic controllers and mechanical drives," Brunett said.
Each day will cover a different area, beginning with electrical systems on Oct. 21.
Raquel Mata, associate provost of TSTC's Brownwood campus, said the Industrial Systems lab will be open for tours on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Instructor Larry Brickner will be available to answer questions about the workshop while showcasing the equipment that participants will use throughout the week.
Mata said the Brownwood campus tour is also open to the public.
