King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today safety improvements will continue under a project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Chester County
  • Monday, April 22, through Friday, May 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure is scheduled on Romansville Road between Chestnut Lane and Ridgewood Drive in West Bradford Township for sign installation.
  • Monday, April 22, through Friday, May 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Little Conestoga Road and Route 340 (Kings Highway) in Valley, West Brandywine, Wallace, and West Nantmeal townships, for sign installation.
Delaware County
  • Monday, April 22, through Friday, April 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic lane closure is scheduled on Route 320 (Cedar Lane) between Swarthmore Avenue and Magill Road in Swarthmore Borough for lane separator curb installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, is the general contractor on this $7.5 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
