NOTICE OF SECOND READING AND ACTION

The City Council of the City of Norwich will meet in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 100 Broadway, Norwich, Connecticut on June 17, 2024 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. for a second reading and action on the proposed ordinance at the April 15, 2024 meeting of the Council of the City of Norwich;

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 7-131.3 AND 7-132.4 OF ARTICLE VI OF CHAPTER 7 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO CORRECT THE LANGUAGE REGARDING PERMITTED USES OF GENERAL FUND UNASSIGNED FUND BALANCE AND TO REDUCE THE VARIANCE ACTUARIALLY DETERMINED CONTRIBUTIONS.

Purpose: To amend financial policies to correct the language regarding permitted uses of general fund unassigned fund balance and to reduce the variance from 15% to 10% for actuarially determined contributions.

Copies of said ordinance is on file open to public inspection at the office of the City Clerk, 100 Broadway, Room 215, Norwich, CT.
