Army-built houses vested in two needy families in Mullaitivu and Jaffna

Jaffna and Mullative based Sri Lanka Army (SLA) troops supported two deserving families in Jaffna and Mullative to realize their housing dreams and the fruition of the cause was recently seen by delivering the keys of the houses to the beneficiaries during house-warming ceremonies held separately.

The 643 Infantry Brigade troops under the 64 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters- Mullaitivu (SFHQ - MLT) constructed a new house to a deserving family of Mrs. J. Antonydas living in Muttiyankattukulam, Mullaitivu, the SLA sources stated.

8 Sri Lanka Artillery troops built the house using their technical and engineering skills plus the necessary manpower while expenditure for raw materials was borne through personal contacts and friends of 643 Infantry Brigade Commander Col. Chandana Wickramanayake, the SLA said.

Meanwhile, the Army Media stated that the 511 Infantry Brigade of the 51 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters- Jaffna (SFHQ-J) with their technical and engineering expertise together with the manpower 9 Sri Lanka Light Infantry renovated the home of Mr. Arumugam Chandra Sekram in Keeramalai in Jaffna district.

Philanthropist Mr. Vish Nadarajh has provided the financial contribution for this project, the media reports confirmed.
