Media briefing under embargo

on the

2022 Global Report on Trafficking in Persons

Please note: The 2022 Global Report on Trafficking in Persons and all data presented at the briefing are under embargo until 01:00 a.m. Vienna time on 24 January 2023.

Short Summary:

The 2022 reportis the seventh of its kind, covering 141 countries and is an overview of patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at global, regional, and national levels, which is based on trafficking cases detected between 2017 and 2021. The findings are further informed by analysis of 800 court case summaries. The main findings are accompanied by detailed suggestions for policy makers to use to help formulate effective responses to each associated issue.
