Norfolk Parks and Recreation and Festevents to Host Motown Mingle

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk Parks and Recreation is collaborating with Norfolk Festevents to bring residents Motown Mingle, one of three exceptional community events, to Five Points Civic Plaza and Park in 2024.

Motown Mingle is scheduled for April 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature a performance by local favorite BJ Griffin Band, known for an appearance on America's Got Talent. Additionally, attendees can indulge in a variety of treats from Latin 2 Soul, Yolee's G-Dawgz, and Ben and Jerry's while participating in fun family activities and arts and crafts.

This event provides:

• Live music
• Food trucks
• Engaging family activities

Following this kick off, a Caribbean-themed event is planned for July 27, with a football-themed event scheduled for Nov. 2, where large screens will display football games for all to enjoy.

All events are free and open to the public and are rain or shine.
