Ministry in The Presidency to conduct the State of the Nation Address (SoNA) pre-awareness outreach campaign in the Western Cape

Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will be conducting Pre-SoNA outreach activities, led by Minister Mondli Gungubele and Deputy Ministers, Pinky Kekana and Thembi Siweya from 07 - 09 February 2023 in the Western Cape.

The outreach programme is a build-up to the State of the Nation Address (SoNA) which is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 09 February 2023. SoNA is a key national event where the President of South Africa advises the nation on the government programme for the year and reflects on the progress made with regards to the commitments of the previous year's address.

Members of the media are invited to join the outreach programme as follows:

Venue: Pine Valley North and Palmiet Power Station, Gerald Wright Thusong Centre in Grabouw, Theewaters-Kloof in Overberg District, Western Cape

This engagement will serve as a platform to inform, empower and mobilize communities to watch and/or follow SoNA discussions to key achievements attained since the last SoNA, as well as mobilising Grabouw communities to access available services offered at the Grabouw Wright Thusong Service Centre.
