Shields Named Interim VP for Finance and Administration

Shields has worked in higher education financial roles since 1987, serving in various capacities and institutions throughout his career. He has recently completed serving as interim vice president for finance and administration at Kentucky State University and Arkansas Baptist College.

Shields comes to SEMO through The Registry, a service of the Council of Independent Colleges and the premier interim placement firm in American higher education. The organization's goal is to engage senior administrators and executives who help institutions define, shape, and achieve a more resilient and sustainable future.

Ronald Dorn was named as the interim appointment in March but left for personal reasons. Shields will serve in the interim appointment until a search to fill the position is complete.
