EL5-Energo Held a Career Guidance Event for Students of the Ural Federal University Named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin

PJSC EL5-Energo together with the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin (UrFU) held an educational and entertaining event titled Get to know the Company Day. The meeting was organized for students of the Ural Energy Institute (UralENIN). More than 100 students listened to reports made by the Director of the Sredneuralskaya GRES, Dmitry Geld, HR and Organization representatives, as well as Production Improvement Team. The students learned more about the largest power plant in Sverdlovsk region, as well as about career opportunities and the demand for their specialty in the energy industry and at the enterprise. In addition, the students were able to take part in a quiz and show off their creativity in an energy stand-up show, imagining the energy sector of the future.

During the event, Director of the Sredneuralskaya GRES, Dmitry Geld, and Head of Practice at the Educational Programs Department of UrFU, Elena Nechiporenko, signed an agreement on the practical training of students, which is important for the development of cooperation. The document, valid for 5 years, provides new opportunities for students of electric energy and thermal energy profiles in terms of production and pre-graduation practice at the power plants of PJSC EL5-Energo.

"Our company understands the importance of interaction with the leading universities in general and with energy-profile students in particular for the successful development of our enterprise, as well as for the career guidance of the students themselves. This helps solve many relevant challenges facing the power plant and the company as a whole. As part of cooperation with the universities, we attract talented young specialists to solve technological problems, which helps us remain at the forefront of innovative development and replenish the enterprise's knowledge base with fresh engineering ideas. Whereas the young employees get the opportunity to gain practical experience and realize their ambitious career plans. I really hope that we will soon see the participants of today's event practicing at Sredneuralskaya GRES and becoming part of our team," said Dmitry Geld, Director of Sredneuralskaya GRES.

It is very important to conduct such career guidance events, and in such a contemporary, youthful and interesting format. The Ural Energy Institute is always ready to cooperate and strengthen our relations with PJSC EL5-Energo for the benefit of energy industry development in the Urals and in Russia," emphasized Sergey Sarapulov, Director of the Ural Energy Institute of UrFU.

Apart from this, as part of the cooperation, next year UrFU will host a series of lectures from the company employees on various contemporary topics, including the role of renewable energy sources, which EL5-Energo is actively developing within its structure.

In the afternoon, students went on an excursion to Sredneuralskaya GRES, where they saw with their own eyes how the electric power industry of our country has been changing in the machine halls of almost 88-year-old power plant, how the units with a long history and the latest technological equipment generate electric and thermal energy for the needs of Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk region. Sredneuralskaya GRES was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and the Order of Lenin, as well as other awards that confirm the professionalism of its employees.

As part of the memorandum of cooperation for the development of academic and cultural relations, PJSC EL5-Energo and UrFU are already implementing a scholarship program, thanks to which they provide support to talented students and teachers of UrFU.

The signing of the agreement is a continuation of the vector of PJSC EL5-Energo to expand and improve the quality of cooperation with the leading energy universities and specialized secondary educational institutions of the country.
