Chief of Army of the Malaysian Armed Forces Makes Farewell Visit to Singapore ..

The Chief of Army of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) General (GEN) Tan Sri Dato' Seri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain called on Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) this morning. During their meeting, Dr Ng thanked GEN Zamrose for his contributions in maintaining strong ties between the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the MAF.

GEN Zamrose, who is in Singapore on 14 March 2023 for his farewell visit, also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Melvyn Ong and Chief of Army Major-General David Neo after inspecting the Guard of Honour at MINDEF.

GEN Zamrose's visit underscores the warm and long-standing bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and Malaysia. Both Armies interact regularly across a wide range of activities, including bilateral and multilateral exercises, visits and professional exchanges, and the cross-attendance of courses. Such interactions have enhanced mutual understanding and professional ties between personnel of both armed forces.
