Free Compost Giveaway Event - Wednesday, March 27th through Thursday, March 28th, 9am-4pm
The City is partnering with its waste hauler, Republic Services, to host four free compost giveaway events for 2024. Compost will be available on a first come, first serve basis between the hours of 9 AM-4 PM on the following dates:
- Wednesday, March 27 through Thursday, March 28, 2024
- Wednesday, October 3 through Thursday, October 4, 2024
- Wednesday, November 20 through Thursday, November 21, 2024
Each event will be held at the Department of Water & Wastewater Resources located at 153 Lake Merced Blvd., Daly City, 94015.
To participate in the compost giveaway, please bring a sturdy container, shovels, and gloves for this self-serve event. Residents must show proof of residency and are limited to five (5) 5-gallon buckets of compost per household.
Events are weather permitting and will be canceled due to rain.
