59-year-old man dies following ATV crash

A 59-year-old man from Salisbury, N.B., has died following an all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) crash in the community.

On June 1, 2023, at approximately 7:50 p.m., members of the Caledonia Region RCMP detachment and Salisbury Fire Department responded to a report of an ATV crash on a trail near Bleakney Road, in Salisbury.

Three individuals walking on the trail came across the crash and called 911. The driver and sole occupant of the ATV died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office is assisting with the investigation and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the man's exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
