Fremont, USA, February 23, 2024 - ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the 2024 ROG Zephyrus G16, the latest in an illustrious lineup of supremely powerful thin-and-light gaming laptops. The 2024 Zephyrus G16 features a premium CNC-machined aluminum chassis, a customizable Slash Lighting array, and a brand-new Platinum White colorway option along with Eclipse Grey. The new highly efficient Intel® Core Ultra 9 Processor on the G16 brings forth a longer battery life, while NVIDIA® 40 series graphics stand ready to push gamers and creators to new heights of performance. ROG Nebula Display finally brings G-SYNC® to OLED laptop panels; the Zephyrus G16 is equipped with a stunningly color-accurate OLED display that is also G-SYNC® capable for incredible gaming experiences. Ultra-efficient cooling technology, including tri-fan technology, liquid metal, and vapor chamber, on the highest spec configurations, allows the Zephyrus G16 to breathe easily despite its ultra-portable design.
Brand-new Aluminum chassis design
The 2024 Zephyrus G16 has been completely redesigned inside and out. The device boasts an all-new and all-aluminum CNC-machined chassis for the perfect mix of weight reduction, structural rigidity, and increased chassis space. The Zephyrus G16 thickness goes as low as 0.59" while weight starts at just 4 lbs. The CNC chassis allows for an edge-to-edge keyboard design, as well as the inclusion of larger and louder speakers with superior bass response down to 100Hz. The speakers are 25% larger than the previous generation, with a 47% volume increase for more immersive audio experiences than ever before.
The Zephyrus G16 is available in a brand-new colorway, Platinum White, along with an Eclipse Gray option. The inputs have also been improved, the G16 comes with larger individual keycaps and a larger touchpad for superior typing, precision scrolling, and fluid gaming. Lastly, the 2024 Zephyrus G16 sports a brand-new LED lighting array on the lid that provides users an avenue for expressing their creativity.
The Perfect Balance of Efficiency and Performance
The Zephyrus G16 sports a highly efficient Intel Core™ Ultra 9 processor 185H. The processor features built-in AI accelerators (NPU) improving power consumption in sustained AI workloads for longer battery life. The device is also equipped with NVIDIA GeForce 40 series graphics. The RTX 4070 fulfills the needs of mainstream users, while both RTX 4080 and 4090 graphics bring forth incredible performance in all the latest games and creative applications with their extra VRAM and CUDA cores. With dedicated AI support for tools like Omniverse® and Stable diffusion, users can skip long queues in the cloud and generate images locally in just a few seconds. Video-editing and 3D-rendering projects are more than twice as fast with AI acceleration, all while consuming less power for longer battery life. With full access to the latest AI-accelerated technologies, this hardware can easily handle the latest creation software and games without breaking a sweat.
Hyper-efficient ROG Intelligent Cooling
Ultra-slim and powerful laptops demand incredibly efficient cooling solutions to run at their full performance, so the Zephyrus G16 has been equipped with the latest improvements in ROG Intelligent Cooling to maintain their edge. High performance liquid metal thermal compound on the CPU and the introduction of 2nd Generation Arc Flow Fans™ get heat moving efficiently out of the chassis. Tri-fan technology, a system that uses a third auxiliary fan to help move airflow over surface-mounted components on the motherboard and assist with drawing heat from the GPU, pulls further heat out of the machine. Zephyrus G16 models equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU or the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU are instead fitted with a custom vapor chamber using dual fans to accommodate their flagship hardware.
