Foreign Ministry signs Memorandum of Understanding with the University of California San Diego

Today, the Foreign Ministry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of California San Diego (UCSD) on academic and professional cooperation.

The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration on issues of mutual benefit, such as exchanges of students, staff, teachers and researchers; research projects and joint publications; and internships and visits between the Foreign Ministry and the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies (USMEX), based at the UCSD School of Global Policy and Strategy.

The MoU was signed by Undersecretary Carmen Moreno for the Foreign Ministry and by UCSD Chancellor Pradeep K. Koshla.

Given the extensive links between Mexico and California and the academic work carried out by USMEX, it is important to expand the educational opportunities for Foreign Ministry and Foreign Service officials.
