RWJBarnabas Health Chief of Staff Indu Lew Honored by the Federation of Indian Associations in Recognition of International Women’s Day

Consul General of India in New York, Binaya Pradhan, presents an award to Indu Lew, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff for RWJBarnabas Health at the 6th Annual International Women's Day Celebration, hosted by the Federation of Indian Associations.

West Orange, New Jersey, March 13, 2024 - RWJBarnabas Health's Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, Indu Lew, was honored by the Indian Consulate at the prestigious 6th Annual International Women's Day Celebration, held on March 8. The event was hosted by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) in collaboration with the Consulate General of India, NY.

Dr. Lew was one of four honorees recognized for their significant contributions to their fields and communities. Dr. Lew's inclusion in this year's celebration places her among a select group of influential Indian figures who have inspired change and demonstrated remarkable dedication to their respective professions.

Dr. Lew was honored alongside Montgomery Mayor Neena Singh, the first Indian and Sikh woman Mayor in New Jersey; Megha Desai, President of the Desai Foundation; and Maharani Radhikaraje Gaekwad.

The FIA, which is dedicated to cultural, charitable, and community activities, has been at the forefront of highlighting significant socio-economic issues and celebrating the achievements of individuals who positively impact the Indian diaspora and beyond.

She was actively involved with the implementation of RWJBarnabas Health's new operating model and one system, one family philosophy. Prior, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer, where she oversaw 27 divisions within the system's Pharmacy Enterprise and was responsible for all clinical, quality, patient safety and financial outcomes related to medication use across the continuum of care. A strategic leader and tireless advocate for her teams, Dr. Lew was instrumental in securing the Pharmacy Enterprise's distinction as a center of excellence in the New Jersey medical community.
