New Battleground Poll Shows Majority of Latinos Believe Republicans Are Ignoring Their Economic Concerns

A new Navigator poll of 2024 general election voters in 61 battleground congressional districts found that Latinos believe the Republican majority has been prioritizing the wrong things and ignoring addressing their economic concerns.

Among the research, the poll found "Democrats in Congress are more trusted than Republicans in Congress to protect abortion rights, make health care and prescription drug costs more affordable, and protect consumers."

The poll also found:

  • 61 percent of Hispanics believe since taking control Republicans in Congress have "prioritized the wrong things."

  • 60 percent of Hispanics believe since taking control Republicans in Congress have "focused more on non-economic issues."

  • 56 percent of Hispanics believe Republicans are focused on policies that benefit the wealthy and corporations.

DCCC Spokesperson José Muñoz:
"Like most Americans, hardworking Latinos are fed up with Republicans refusing to fight for them and instead prioritizing policies that benefit the wealthy and major corporations. The majority of Latinos want politicians to prioritize lowering costs and expanding health care, while defending their freedoms. It's clear to them that House Democrats are the ones to do that once they retake the majority."
