NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Peace River K9 Search & Rescue



Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Peace River K9 Search & Rescue

PROJECT NAME: LAS 34678

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Travelling approximately 5 miles east of the Dalton Highway departing from approximately mile post 346.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Within Township 1 South, Ranges 13 & 14 East, Umiat Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Off-road travel using summer approved vehicles to support a forensic search effort. This permit was originally issued for August 1, 2023, to October 31, 2023. The applicant has requested a reissuance.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: June 1, 2024
End: May 31, 2029

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 21, 2024

The public is invited to comment on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
