Outside Watering Meters Available May 1st

Outside watering meters are available via online form submission for the 2024 season. Once the online submission is received, water department staff will deliver a meter to the address on the request. Meters are available for use between May 1st and October 1st.

An outside watering meter is an additional meter that can be hooked to an outside spigot to measure water used outside that does not go down the sanitary sewer. There is a $20 charge for use of the meter. Once the meter is returned to the water plant, a sewer credit for the amount of water used is added to the water bill. At the current rates, 300 cubic feet (approximately 2250 gallons) needs to be used through the meter to cover the $20 charge.

There is a limited supply of meters and the meters will be distributed on a first come first served basis. All requests should be made using the online form.

At the end of the season or when the meter is no longer needed the outside watering meter return form should be submitted.
