KIDNAPPING AND ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED

TYPE OF INCIDENT: ADULT ARRESTS

DATE AND TIME OF INCIDENT: 09/24/22 @ 4:35 PM

LOCATION OF INCIDENT: 375 W. Madison Ave, El Cajon

RESUME OF INCIDENT:

On 09/24/22, at approximately 4:35 PM, the El Cajon Police Department received a call from an adult male victim, who reported he was robbed of money in a 7-Eleven parking lot at 375 W. Madison Avenue, El Cajon, a few minutes earlier. While the victim was in his car, he was approached by an 18 year adult male suspect, later identified as Jeramiah Love, who pointed a handgun at him and demanded money. The suspect was accompanied by an 18 year old adult female, later identified as Madison Barlow. Both suspects got into the victim's vehicle and forced him to drive them to the 500 block of E. Park. The victim complied and drove the suspects to that location, where they exited the vehicle.

At approximately 4:45 PM, the El Cajon Police Department received a call from an unrelated victim on Parkett Lane, who reported a large altercation on the property of her apartment complex. While the victim was on the phone with police, an adult female, later identified as Barlow, brandished a knife and struck her in the face. The victim reported the female suspect was accompanied by a male, later identified as Love.

When officers arrived, Love and Barlow had already left. Officers learned another male victim confronted Love and Barlow, because they were trespassing on the property and Love was urinating in the complex' pool. Love confronted the male victim and brandished a handgun.

At approximately 6:10 PM, the female victim from Parkett Lane again called the El Cajon Police Department and reported the suspects had returned to the area and walked into a neighboring apartment complex. Several officers located Love and Barlow in a courtyard and detained them without incident. Love was in possession of a replica handgun and the robbery victim's cash. Barlow was in possession of a concealed knife. Victims positively identified Love and Barlow as the suspects in both described crimes.

Love and Barlow were arrested and later booked into San Diego County Central Jail and Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility, respectively. Their charges included kidnapping, robbery, dissuading a victim by force, and conspiracy.

This case could be related to other similar robberies that have occurred over the last several months. These investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the El Cajon Police Department at (619) 579-3311.
