King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that New Jersey Transit will be performing rail improvements on Richmond Street in Philadelphia, beginning Friday, May 3.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • Friday, May 3, through Saturday, May 4, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, Richmond Street will be closed and detoured between Lewis Street and Berkshire Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Lewis Street, Delaware Avenue, Orthodox Street, and Richmond Street.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
