Information Meeting on 2601 Access Road rezoning on Oct. 18

A public information meeting hosted by the applicant will be conducted regarding the proposed rezoning of 2601 Access Road in the Newton County Historic Courthouse on Oct. 18.

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the boardroom, located on the second floor, OF 1124 Clark Street, Covington. The meeting will inform the public on the rezoning request from existing zoning of R2 (Almon Overlay Tier 2) to a proposed zoning of M1 (Light Industrial). The property is located on the south side of I-20, immediately adjacent to an existing industrial park.

The public is welcome to learn about the requested rezoning, ask questions and discuss issues pertinent to the request with the applicant.
