At Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, in the submarine cable plant in Corinth, Greece, a special event was held during the annual pie cutting. The Director of Blood Donation of the Corinth General Hospital, Mrs. Christina Pappa, attended to honor and thank the company for its great contribution to the local community.

The Hellenic Cables employees have collected a significant number of bottles of blood through the blood drives organized annually, highlighting the value of humanity and solidarity in our society. With more than 800 bottles of blood in total stock in the last decade and at least 200 units within the previous year, the employees of Hellenic Cables stand out from the most significant blood donation clubs in the prefecture of Corinthia.

Christina Pappa, Blood Donation Director of the Corinth General Hospital, said: "The Corinth plant of Hellenic Cables is an excellent example of a business in the modern environment that creates value not only financially but also contributes to social improvement through voluntary blood donations. The real winners are the patients; each bottle can save up to 3 lives. The selfless gift of the Hellenic Cables company's blood donors helps us have a supply of blood that will become someone's lifeline at just the right time. We are grateful for your time, generosity, and dedication to helping your fellow man".

Panagiotis Marlagkoutsos, Human Resources Director of Hellenic Cables, emphasized: "Hellenic Cables remains true to its social responsibility and continues to be active in initiatives to promote the health and well-being of the areas where it operates. At the Corinth plant, this initiative has been significantly strengthened in recent years with the active participation of the local Health & Safety committee and the undivided support of the factory's nursing staff, turning blood donation from a simple act into a real celebration of giving to fellow human beings and society".
