Media advisory: High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell attends the Quo Vadis Europa course

High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell will direct the course Quo Vadis Europa that takes place in Santander (Spain) from 26 to 30 July.

Organised annually by High Representative/Vice-President Borrell since the year 2000, the Quo Vadis Europa course aims to offer, through different sessions, reflections and answers to the most pressing issues in the EU's foreign policy, together with practitioners, think tanks and academia.

This year, the event, organised at the Menéndez Pelayo International University, will count with the participation of high-level panellists, including Michelle Bachelet, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, Ricardo Hausmann, Professor at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and Ivan Krastev, political scientist.

On Monday 26 July, High Representative/Vice-President Josep Borrell will give a press conference at 09:30 to accredited media. This press conference is reserved for journalists accredited to the UIMP press room. Given the safety measures, access will be granted on a first-come first-served basis. Journalists who would like to follow the press conference remotely will have the opportunity to send questions. High Representative Borrell will then deliver a keynote speech during the inaugural session of the forum on the EU leadership in the post-pandemic world, starting at 10:00.

On Friday 30 July, High Representative Borrell will also participate in the closing session, on Foreign Policy in COVID-19 times and beyond.
