Sinema Highlights Importance of Collaboration to Deliver Lasting Solutions at World Economic Forum in Switzerland

Following her leadership on a series of legislative victories over the past three years, Sinema participated on a tri-partisan panel with other American elected officials about the domestic & foreign policy legislative landscape in the United States

DAVOS - Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema participated on a tri-partisan panel with other American elected officials about the domestic and foreign policy legislative landscape in the United States at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

At a time of global economic and political instability, Sinema discussed the continued strength and leadership of the United States and the legislative successes she helped lead to address the challenges facing Arizonans and the American people, including the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, CHIPS and Science Act, Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, Respect for Marriage Act, and more.

"Americans are more united than the national parties would have us believe, and our focus on cross-party collaboration has delivered lasting solutions and shown that a diverse democracy can still function effectively. I believe this approach is exactly how we continue cutting through the partisan dysfunction and delivering results - whether that be on pressing domestic issues like immigration and border security or foreign policy through strengthening democracies across the globe to win against foreign adversaries," said Sinema.

At today's panel, Sinema highlighted the successful bipartisan laws she's been at the forefront in negotiating and writing. Sinema underscored that through cross-partisan collaboration she successfully passed these bills into law to solve the challenges American families have faced for many years, but had remained unaddressed due to continued partisanship. Sinema also discussed her continued focus on working with leaders on both sides of the aisle to secure the border and fix our broken immigration system.

Participating panelists included U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-Del.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Governors Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) and JB Pritzker (D-Ill.), and U.S. Representatives Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.) and Maria Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.).

Sinema's panel discussion at the World Economic Forum follows a long history of senior U.S. leaders attending the Forum to demonstrate America's leadership, including the late Arizona Senator John McCain and then-Vice President Joe Biden.

The World Economic Forum is an independent, international non-governmental organization that brings together leaders across the globe from different disciplines to exchange ideas.
