Suspect Sought in Assault with a Weapon Investigation,

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man wanted for an Assault with a Weapon investigation.

On Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 5:14 a.m. police responded to a call for an assault at The Queensway and Islington Avenue .

It is reported that:

  • a TTC bus was stopped at the intersection of The Queensway and Islington Avenue
  • a man approached the victim on the bus
  • the man assaulted the victim with a piece of wood
  • the victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries
  • the man fled the area

The man is described as 30 - 40 years old, 5'5", approximately 150 lbs., with a thin build, a black beard and black dreadlocks. He was wearing a black jacket with white and orange on the sides, beige pants, black running shoes and a black toque.
