DNC Statement on the Anniversary of the American Rescue Plan Arrow

DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement on the third anniversary of the American Rescue Plan:

"Three years ago, President Biden jumpstarted the greatest comeback in American history when he signed the American Rescue Plan into law. Donald Trump's ineffective pandemic response had brought our country to the brink of ruin - shuttering small businesses and tanking the economy. Then, the Biden-Harris administration put America back on the path to recovery - shots in the arms of millions of Americans, 15 million new jobs, and small businesses opening at a record rate. And while every single Republican in Congress refused to support this landmark law, they have gladly taken the credit for the historic comeback made possible by President Biden and Democrats in Congress.

"When the American people looked for leadership, Democrats answered the call and delivered for all Americans, no matter if they lived in red or blue states. Make no mistake: Since Day One of this administration, President Biden and Democrats have been fighting to rebuild our nation following Donald Trump's disastrous presidency - and come this November, the American people will remember that it was Democrats who stood up for them, invested in our communities, and delivered for them in their time of need."
