Laboratórios Azevedos zela pela saúde dos peregrinos da JMJ Lisboa 2023

A group with more than two centuries of life that exports medicines to the five continents, Laboratorios Azevedos provides primary health care close to World Youth Day (WYD) pilgrims, through a program of donation of essential drugs that they created for the important Catholic event taking place this week in Lisbon.

As reported in a statement, the drug donation program is aimed at any WYD 2023 participant so that they can "have access to medication safely, if they need it, regardless of their financial condition", and in conjunction with entities of the National Service of Health (primary health care, INEM and hospitals in the region).

The first Portuguese manufacturer of medicines, the Azevedos group is present in over 90 countries, exports 80% of its production and is supported by a team of around 500 employees.

Iconic brand with 100% Portuguese capital and responsible for the first national medicine, will celebrate, in 2025, its 250 years at the service of medicine.

The company was distinguished this year with the Gold Medal of the Portuguese Industrial Association (AIP), reinforcing its 100th anniversary as an AIP member and the oldest national pharmaceutical laboratory.
