Launch of “The Indonesia Gender Dashboard on Women in SMEs” and “Opening Opportunities Report”

In partnership with the Indonesian Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (MoWECP), the Indonesia Business Women Association (IWAPI), the Indonesia Employer's Association (APINDO), and G20 Empower Indonesia, the World Bank has just completed the report "Opening Opportunities" and is launching the interactive "Indonesia Women in SMEs Dashboard", both funded by the Australian Department of foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

- "Opening Opportunities : The Economic Cost of Entrepreneurship Gender Gaps in Indonesia". This report draws on quantitative analysis and qualitative data collection to identify the most binding constraints for women entrepreneurs and to provide policy recommendations on how to strengthen the business ecosystem for WSMEs.

- Indonesia Women in SMEs Dashboard. This online tool is a one-stop-shop referencing World Bank reports focused on women economic empowerment in Indonesia and gathering new data. It is an interactive, open, and living platform, aggregating results of collaborative efforts, and acting as a virtual convener for the actions.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness on both outputs and stimulate public-private dialogue on collaborative actions to improve women economic participation in the private sector.
