Uzbek Cultural Center of Herzen University Discussed Results of Observation of Presidential Election in Uzbekistan

On 15 May, the Uzbek Cultural Center of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia hosted a roundtable. The event discussed the results of observation of the presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which took place on 9 July 2023.

The organizers were the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) and the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat - Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket opened the roundtable and voiced the greeting of Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy.

On behalf of the Rector of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Internationalization of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia Dmitry Mereshkin welcomed the organizers and participants of the roundtable. He expressed hope for further effective interaction between the Uzbek Cultural Center and the IPA CIS IIMDD for the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.

The roundtable was also attended by members of the CEC of Uzbekistan, experts of the IPA CIS IIMDD, academicians and students of the Tashkent branch of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.
