Fly in for the Great Cocky Count this Autumn

Cocky Count in the South West

The Great Cocky Count (GCC) is a citizen-science project and the biggest single survey for black cockatoos in Western Australia.

Date: Sunday 14 April
Time: 5.15pm - 6.45pm
Location: A local site near you in the South West!

Black cockatoos live across a large area, so it's difficult to get an accurate record of how many there are in the wild. By working with citizen scientists in the GCC, Birdlife can get a snapshot of where black cockatoos are located, giving them a better idea of their numbers.

For more information and to register, please go to Great Cocky Count. Registrations close on 24 March. You will receive information on a local site near you to survey.
