Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 5:40 a.m., on US20 at milepost 267.6, near Atomic City. 

A 58-year-old male, from Blackfoot, was driving a 2013 Toyota Corolla eastbound on US20 at 267.6.  A 24-year-old female, from Arco, was driving a 2010 Nissan Cube westbound on US20 at 267.6.  The Nissan Cube crossed the center line and collided with the Toyota. 

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The male driver was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.  The female driver was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.  

The eastbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 5 hours. 

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
